A 50-year-old man is suspected of having shot himself on Sunday in the village of Mirenë, Lipjan.
The police announced that the incident happened around 12:00.
"Today, at around 12:00, the police were notified that in the village of Mirenë, Lipjan, a person (male) was injured with a firearm. Police units have arrived at the scene and, in coordination with the State Prosecutor, are investigating all the circumstances related to the case, while the injured person has been sent for medical treatment," said Police Spokesperson Flora Ahmeti.
His health condition has been reported by the University Clinical Center of Kosovo, where the victim is being treated.
Emergency Director Naser Syla told KOMA that his condition is currently stable and that after the intervention he will be transferred to another clinic.
"The necessary examinations have been carried out, he is now in the Emergency operating room being intervened by the anesthesia and urology teams, after the operation he will be transferred to the Urology Clinic for further treatment," he said.
