In one day, the Capital Traffic Unit issued 220 fines for various traffic violations, it was announced in a media release on Tuesday by the Capital Police Directorate.

According to the announcement, 50 fines were identified through vehicles with intelligent devices. Vehicles with expired registrations and exceeding the speed limit were issued.

As part of these actions, the Police have announced that 35 drivers' driving licenses have been confiscated, while violators will receive the fines imposed by mail.

"The Capital City Traffic Unit calls on all traffic participants to respect traffic rules and show increased caution, in order to increase road safety," the call from this directorate states.

Days ago, the commander of the regional road traffic unit in the Pristina region, Sylejman Halili, announced that the number of fines issued in 2025 has increased by 13 percent compared to a year earlier.
