27 years and 8 months in prison for those accused of the murder in Fushë-Kosovo Polje

The Basic Court in Pristina has announced a guilty verdict against the defendants Atdhe Musliu and Labinot Bajrami, in connection with the charge of the murder of AH in 2023 in Fushë-Kosovo. Musliu was sentenced to a single sentence of 16 years and 8 months in prison, while Bajrami was sentenced to 11 years in prison.

In this case, Atdhe Musliu and Labinot Bajrami were accused of having deprived AH of his life, in which case they were charged with having committed the criminal offense of "Murder" in co-perpetration, while Musliu was also accused of possessing a weapon without a permit, reports "Oath for Justice".

The verdict was announced on Monday by the presiding judge, Gent Beka, and members Medie Bytyqi and Agim Kuçi, after approving the plea agreement reached between the Prosecution and the two defendants.

Judge Beka said that the two defendants were found guilty according to the plea agreement reached for the criminal offense of "Murder" and the defendant Musliu also for illegal possession of weapons.

The accused Musliu was sentenced to 16 years in prison for the criminal offense of "Murder", and 10 months in prison for illegal possession of a weapon. A single sentence of 16 years and 8 months in prison was pronounced against him.

Meanwhile, the accused Bajrami was sentenced to 11 years in prison for the criminal offense of "Murder".

The two defendants are remanded in custody, but not longer than the sentence imposed. The injured party is instructed to proceed with a regular civil legal dispute.

Each defendant is required to pay 200 euros in court fees and another 50 euros to the Crime Victims Compensation Fund, within 15 days of the verdict becoming final.

Previously, the Court, in the hearing session for reviewing the plea agreement, after receiving the opinions of the parties, issued a ruling approving the plea agreement concluded between the Prosecution and the two defendants Atdhe Musliu and Labinot Bajrami.

According to the indictment filed on August 9, 2023, the accused Atdhe Musliu and Labinot Bajrami on February 12, 2023, on the "Pjetër Budi" street in Fushë-Kosovo, due to the disagreements at the time, initially the accused Bajrami attacked and hit the injured party AH with punches and kicks and with hard objects, who tries to escape to avoid the attack, but the accused Atdhe and Labinot chase him and continue to hit him again with punches and kicks and with hard objects, and then with the intention of depriving him of life, the accused Musliu stabbed him in the chest - the left side, depriving the injured party - now deceased AH - of life.
