Albanian activist in the United States, Agim Aliçkaj, has stated that the Albanian lobby was the second largest in the US, after the Jewish lobby.
He said on Thursday on KTV's "Konfront" that the situation during the war was different, saying that the Serbian massacres and their documentation influenced congressmen.
"We were the second strongest lobby after the Jewish lobby in the US, but the situation has changed. We had massacred children and we received photographs of massacred people from Koha Ditore. When we went to meet with senators and congressmen, we did our lobbying in Congress. The White House always has interests and pressure must be exerted and we must always work with the US," said Aliçkaj.
He added that through the images it was easier to lobby for Kosovo, while adding that all activity in the US was done on a voluntary basis.
