Letter to the Reader — Why We're Asking for Your Support ContributeThis settlement was the next destination visited by the team of the "JETA" show on Kohavision.
Upon entering Rahova, the team met locals who engage in livestock farming as an important activity for them in the village.
According to locals, around 400 inhabitants lived in Rahovo, while currently this village has around 200 residents.
Ruzhdi Peci, one of the residents of Rahova, says that he has never left his native village.
This village is very special to him, as he, along with over 60 residents, had also contributed to the Trepcë Mine.
Peci emphasizes that the village of Rahove was completely burned down during the war. As locals, they were forced to abandon the village and return to it after the war ended.
"The most difficult moment for me in my entire life was when all of us residents suddenly turned our backs on the village during the war. But I also don't forget the happiest moment, when we all returned after Serbia capitulated," says Ruzhdi Peci.
Local residents say that the lands of their village were extremely fertile and produced whatever they planted in them.
Their productivity was made possible by irrigation with water flowing from the Majdan mountain, as the people of Rahovec call it.
