Brian Riemer will be the new selector of the Denmark national football team.
The Danish coach in this position replaces Kasper Hjulmand, who left after the end of the European Championship this summer, the Football Federation of Denmark wrote on Thursday.
The 46-year-old Riemer has been part of Copenhagen and Brentford as an assistant, while as the first coach he led Anderlecht.
"With Brian Riemer, we have gained an energetic and dedicated coach. His view of football has shown us that he wants to dominate matches with attacking and technical football", said the director of the Danish federation, Peter Moller.
The Danes have had success in recent years at the representative level. In "Euro 2020" they were semi-finalists and lost to England.
In "Euro 2024" they were eliminated by Germany in the 1/8 finals.
