England fan has no regrets about cup tattoo

English fan

A football fan who paid for an 'England - Euro 2024 winners' tattoo before the final took place has insisted he still loves the tattoo, despite losing to Spain.

Dan Thomas, 29, from Swindon, got a tattoo of the European trophy on his leg, days before the final. But he has no intention of covering it up after England's 2-1 defeat by Spain.
England's wait for a major trophy, which began in 1966, continues.

Thomas is convinced that the "Three Lions" will win the European Championship in 2028 and plans to change his tattoo a little after four years, writes The Guardian.

"We got close, I don't regret the tattoo," he said. "It will not be difficult to change number 4 to number 8 after four years. I will not cover the tattoo. I have absolutely no regrets and I still love him."

He considers the final result bittersweet, but praises England's players for reaching the decisive game.
