The Real Madrid electoral board has released the official document accepting Enrique Riquelme's candidacy for President of Real Madrid.
Enrique Riquelme is a 37-year-old businessman from Alicante, and owns 75 percent of the shares of the company “Cox Energy Group.” This company, based in Mexico, operates in 30 countries and has 15 employees.
These will be the first elections to be held at Real Madrid since Ramon Calderon won in 2006, following the resignation of Florentino Perez.
Now the board will have a maximum of 15 days to set the election date.
Florentino Perez has been President of Real Madrid since 2009, in his second term.
There has been no opposing candidate since 2009.
