Switzerland's captain, Granit Xhaka, has commented on the European qualification group for the 2026 World Cup.
Kosovo, Switzerland, Sweden and Slovenia will compete in the qualifying Group B and will aim to advance to the World Cup that will be organized in Canada, Mexico and the United States of America after two years.
"Very good group, but very difficult", said Xhaka about the opponents he will face from the fall of next year.
Switzerland has played three matches with Kosovo, two in the qualifications for the 2024 European Championship that was organized in Germany this summer, and one friendly.
All three matches ended in a draw.
However, Switzerland has not played with Sweden and Slovenia for a long time.
"Kosovo has a strong team. Of course, it is a special and pleasant match for me and my family", said Xhaka, writes the Swiss newspaper "Blick" on Friday.
