It was the third consecutive defeat under new coach Nuno Espirito Santo, who replaced Graham Potter in September. 

West Ham have only won once this season against Nottingham Forest, when Nuno was in charge of that team. 

"There are many problems in our club unfortunately. We should not hide behind these problems. Everyone must believe and do more to be in a better position," the Portuguese declared.
