On Saturday night in Niš, at a political rally, Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić also mentioned the Albania-Serbia football match. The match will take place next month and is part of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers. The match on June 7 in Tirana is expected with great interest.
While speaking to the attendees, Vučić addressed Serbia's coach, Dragan Stojković, who was part of the gathering.
"I saw him a little while ago and now I see that he is here again. Please give a big round of applause to the Serbian coach, Dragan Stojkovic - Pixi, the legend of Nis, who has not hidden like many others and came to be with us tonight. In June or July, he plays there against Albania, to beat them," Vučić said, writes the Serbian media outlet "Sport Klub".
Earlier on Saturday, Vučić met with coach Stojković. The Serbian coach was in Niš to offer support to Vučić at his party's rally.
Interest in the Albania – Serbia match is very high. The match has weight in the race for second place in the qualifying group.
