Kosovo midfielder, Valon Berisha, has found a new team.
Berisha signed with the famous Swiss club, Zurich on Wednesday. The 33-year-old was most recently in Austria with LASK, but without being successful.
Berisha has signed a contract with Zurich valid until the end of the season, with the possibility of extension for another year. Zurich also has Lindrit Kamberi and Bledian Krasniqi. Zurich has had several Albanian players for many years.
"From the beginning I had a very good feeling. The talks went very well and I also know Zurich as a team. I had former teammates and also teammates in the national team who played for Zurich. They only spoke well. When the option came, I wanted to come at all costs. I had a clear head. I am very happy," Berisha told Zurich's official website.
Zurich is currently in the race to secure its existence in the Swiss Super League. It holds the tenth place with 25 points. The Swiss league has 12 teams. Behind Zurich are Grasshopper and Winterthur.
"I am a leading player and I want to help the boys, support them with my experience but also on the field. I want to win and celebrate with Zurich," said Berisha.
