DSwitzerland national team coach Pierluigi Tami has revealed that Ardon Jashari has been given sedative injections by Club Brugge. He said his absence from Switzerland's friendlies against Northern Ireland and Luxembourg was understandable. "Ardoni and Murat Yakin had a good conversation. I have no doubt that Ardoni is very motivated to be part of the national team. It made no sense to risk anything in these friendlies," Tami said, bluewin.ch reported on Monday.
Even selector Yakin said that Jashari asked to use the break to recover from the injury.
In November 2023, Jashari made headlines when he refused to play for Switzerland's U21 team. But after a conversation with Yakin, Jashari was invited to Switzerland. However, the Club Brugge star played his last match for Switzerland more than two years ago.
