Fenerbahçe lost the big derby against Beşiktaş with a score of 2:1. Fenerbahçe was the home team in Saturday's match, which was part of the fourth round of the Turkish Super League.
Vedat Muriqi played until the 68th minute, but without doing much. He left the field when the score was 1:1.
The loss for Fenerbahçe came after three consecutive victories. In all three matches, Muriqi had scored one goal.
Fenerbahçe claim they have been harmed by the referees. Club president Aziz Yildirim has spoken about this at length. He said they are seeking justice.
"We haven't made any comments for four weeks. In the match against Gençlerbirligi, we weren't given two penalties. We lost and we didn't say anything. Then there was the match with Konyaspor and more refereeing mistakes. Then, the foul on Vedat in Samsun and another situation where we didn't get a penalty. But we won. Again we said 'they will improve'. Now more mistakes. We played badly. We congratulate Beşiktaş. But there are two penalties that weren't given to us. The referee has to refer what he sees. VAR is asleep as well," said Yildirim.
He emphasized that the referees are not worthy.

Even Fenerbahçe players have said they have been harmed by referees. Allegations against referees have actually been hitting Turkish football for many years.
Milot Rashica did not play for Besiktas for the second consecutive match.
