Phil Foden scored in the fourth minute to give Manchester City a 1-0 lead against Sporting Lisbon. But then he conceded four more goals for the very deep defeat by Sporting Lisbon.

Viktor Gyokeres shone in the victory of the team from Lisbon. He scored three goals. The first in the 38th minute, the second in the 49th minute from the penalty, and he completed the "hat-trick" in the 80th minute, also from the penalty spot. Maxhimiliano Araujo scored the other goal for Sporting in the 46th minute.
For Sporting it was the third victory from four games. Takes second place with ten points.
