Real Madrid and Brazil forward Rodrygo says he turned down a move to Liverpool in 2017. His former club Santos had an offer of three million euros for the 23-year-old. But it was Rodrygo who turned down a move to Liverpool.
"We didn't close the deal because I didn't want to. I wanted to stay at Santos even though the offer was very good", Rodrygo recalled, writes "90.min.com".
The 23-year-old left Santos in 2019. He joined the Spanish giant Real Madrid, a team with which he has a contract until 2028.
For Real, he scored 16 goals and assisted eight times in 43 appearances this season.
