Barcelona forward Raphinha has criticised the referees after Barca's elimination by Atletico Madrid in the Champions League quarter-finals.
Raphinha, who did not play due to injury, made gestures towards Atletico fans after the match, telling them that their team would be eliminated in the next round. He also made a gesture of theft towards the Metropolitano fans.
Barça won 2:1, but Atletico Madrid qualified with a 3:2 aggregate score.
"For me, it was a robbery," Raphinha said. "Not only this game, but the other one as well. The refereeing was very bad. It's unbelievable what decisions were made. Atletico committed many fouls and the referee didn't show a single yellow card."
Barcelona had Pau Cubarsi sent off in the first leg and Eric Garcia in the second. While Cubarsi was sent off in the first half, Garcia left the field in the 79th minute.
Barcelona also complained about the refereeing in both matches. They lodged an official complaint with UEFA about a penalty in the first leg, while the players complained about another penalty on Tuesday.
"I would like to understand the fear they have of seeing Barcelona win," added Brazilian Raphinha.
Coach Hansi Flick complained after the first leg, but after the match in Madrid he said he would not talk about the referees. The German said the team deserved more luck because of the way they played.
Simeone is proud of his team
"If you look at both games, we were much better than Atletico. But in the end it is what it is and we have to accept that," Flick said.
Barcelona's next match is against Celta Vigo in La Liga. After 31 rounds, Barça has nine points more than second-place Real Madrid.
