Kosovo coach Franco Foda has published on Friday the list of players invited for the next two qualifying matches for the 2026 World Cup.
Important players have returned, but there are also new names and absences.
On October 10, Kosovo faces Slovenia at "Fadil Vokrri", while on October 13 it plays Sweden in Gothenburg.
The matches belong to Group B.
Edon Zhegrova and Milot Rashica have returned to Kosovo. Zhegrova missed last month as he was not fully fit to play after his transfer to Juventus, while Rashica was injured.
Captain Amir Rrahmani was injured in the match against Switzerland and missed the match against Sweden. He is not included in the upcoming matches, which are considered crucial for Kosovo on its path to the 2026 World Cup. Also missing are Leart Paqarada and Baton Zabërgja, who are injured, as well as Emir Sahiti and Florent Hadërgjonaj.
The newcomer on Foda's list, as expected, is Albian Hajdari. The Hoffenheim defender left Switzerland for Kosovo.
The list also includes defenders Kreshnik Hajrizi and Leard Sadriu.
Lindon Emërllahu has also been invited, but he will not be eligible to play against Slovenia because he was sent off in the last match.
Arbër Zeneli and Bersant Celina, with whom the FFK president, Agim Ademi, met some time ago, have not been invited. Celina is on the reserve list.
The official gathering of the 27 players invited by Foda is on Monday. The first training session will take place from 17:00 at the FFK National Camp in Hajvali.
After two rounds, Switzerland leads the qualifying group with six points.
Kosovo has three points in second position, while Sweden and Slovenia have one point each in third and fourth place.
Kosovo started the qualifying round with a 4:0 defeat to Switzerland in Basel. They then won 2:0 against Sweden in Pristina.
