Graham Potter is expected to be officially announced as the new coach of the Swedish national team, following the dismissal of Dane Jon Dahl Tomasson, Sky Sport wrote on Saturday.
Potter will have a tough task, as Sweden is currently in last place in Group B of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers with just one point from four matches.
Sweden suffered defeats to Kosovo in both group matches, 2:0 in Pristina and 1:0 in Gothenburg.
The victory in Gothenburg has moved Kosovo into second place with seven points, three less than leading Switzerland. Third-placed Slovenia has three points.
Potter is expected to take over Sweden temporarily.
The next two matches for Sweden are against Switzerland away and Slovenia at home.
Potter was sacked by West Ham last month.
He began his career as a coach at Ostersunds in Sweden. He has also managed Swansea, Brighton and Chelsea.
