The winner of the 2023/2024 Asian Champions League, Al Ain, will play their first match in the Club World Cup since 2018, in a group that is expected to be dominated by Manchester City and first-round opponents, Juventus.
Al Ain enter the competition as the most successful club in the United Arab Emirates, having won the Professional League 14 times. They are the only Arab team to have won the Asian Champions League twice. They first won in 2003 and won it for the second time last year. Al Ain are not expected to advance beyond the group stage, but a run of seven games without defeat and no goals conceded suggests they are in good form.
Juventus secured their place in the Club World Cup based on UEFA's four-year rankings.
Juventus holds the record for most titles won in Italy. They have won a total of 34 Serie A titles.
The match between these two teams will take place on the night between Wednesday and Thursday.
