Former Inter player Antonio Candreva has confirmed his retirement from football at the age of 38.
Candreva has spent his entire career in Italian football.
He was most recently part of Salernitana, and has also played for teams such as Lazio, Juventus, Udinese, Sampdoria, Parma and Cesena.
"Today is one of the most important days of my life. The time has come to say goodbye, here at 'San Siro', the temple of football, where I played my last match. My journey with you began here 30 years ago, filled with joy and pain, sacrifice and victory and of course, with so many emotions. I have lived my dream, my passion. I do not see this as a goodbye, but only a new starting point. Thank you, football, see you soon," said Candreva.
Candreva has played 502 matches in Serie A.
He has scored 85 goals and made 100 assists.
He has played 54 matches for the Italian national team and scored seven goals.
