Nuhiu expects a big match from Drita players

Drita won the first match against Tre Fiori, played in San Marino, 4:1. Thellë aims to win the return match on Thursday night at "Fadil Vokrri" in Prishtina.

The Drita – Tre Fiori match belongs to the third qualifying round of the Conference League and will be played at 20:00.

In the first match, Drita was led by Visar Sermaxhaj, while on Thursday night it will be led by Ardian Nuhiu, who replaces the fired coach, Zekirija Ramadani.

For Nuhiu, it is a return to Drita as head of the technical staff. He led the Gjilan team from February 2019 to 2022. 

"It is a pleasure to be in this position, to lead the team tomorrow, and at the same time a responsibility. I have maximum respect for the opponent, despite the fact that the team got a good result on the road. Tomorrow I am interested in the team's performance. We must remain disciplined, have a great match and we will try to win the match", said the coach from Skopje.

The 47-year-old Nuhiu believes that the players will give their best. He appreciates the work that has been done earlier.

"I saw a super seriousness in training, aggression from the group. I tried to convey to the group the hunger I have for success, which is not lacking in this group that is used to winning. They are the ones who achieved success last year," Nuhiu emphasized.

Nuhiu believes in the potential that Drita's players have.

"We will do our utmost, as the staff, the managers and those who will appear on the field. I have full confidence in this group. I know this group well and I am starting to get to know the mentality even more. The players have always been eager to defeat every opponent. Without a doubt, we are trying to repeat the past success, but always seeking to raise the level," says the former Gjilan coach.

Nuhiu believes that Drita will very soon become a team that "dominates in every aspect."

"I will try to follow my philosophy. It is a team built to be offensive and aggressive. I will try in all ways to follow my ideas and philosophy on how to play. I think I have the potential and the dough to bring out what I have in my head. Maybe it won't come tomorrow, but gradually to see a team that dominates in every aspect," said Nuhiu, who has won a title with Drita.

Drita, with coach Ramadani, won two championship titles and had a historic campaign in the Conference League.

But Drita's goal is to go even further in the Conference League.
