The Spanish government continues to believe that the 2030 World Cup final will be held in this country.
Speaking after reports that FIFA has promised Morocco the final of the next World Cup, Spanish Sports Minister Milagros Tolon said that "Spain deserves to host the title match."
"We are the reigning world champions for men and women, while Spain and Portugal led the bid for the 2030 World Cup, which Morocco later joined," Tolon said.
"We have many advantages and strengths as a country."
Spain, Portugal and Morocco are the main hosts of the 2030 World Cup. Morocco hopes to organize the final at the planned “King Hassan II” stadium, near Casablanca, which is expected to have 115 seats.
Spain has two candidate stadiums – the Santiago Bernabeu in Madrid and the Camp Nou in Barcelona.
FIFA has denied that its president, Gianni Infantino, offered the final to Morocco in exchange for support at a difficult time.

Tolon said the Spanish government was surprised by reports that FIFA had awarded the final to Morocco.
"The most important thing is that FIFA has already denied this," she stressed.
"We are working with FIFA and we have the next meeting in September. FIFA has clearly denied this news. We will continue to work because we want, and we need, the World Cup final to be held in Spain."
