Croatian midfielder Luka Modric has revealed his footballing dream, saying he wants to retire with Real Madrid.
The Croatian football icon has become one of Madrid's most beloved and decorated players. He has won the most trophies, 28 in total.
"My dream is to retire at Real Madrid. We shouldn't rush into a new contract. The season is still long, we have many more matches. Then we'll see," Modric said, RMC Sport reported on Saturday.
The 39-year-old Modric is expected to renew his contract for another year.
Although 39-year-old Modric has not played many matches as a starter in the current edition, Real is happy with his performances.
Former Tottenham midfielder Modric has scored four goals and provided seven assists this season. He joined Real Madrid in 2012.
