The chances of captain Milan Skriniar playing for Slovakia in the match against Kosovo are slim, according to Slovak sports doctor Roman Fano.
Fano is the chairman of the Medical Commission of the Slovak Olympic and Sports Committee.
Slovakia plays the match against Kosovo on March 26 in Bratislava, a semi-final match of the 2026 World Cup qualifying playoff.
Fano stressed that it will take longer to recover from Skriniari's injuries.
"It is a specific injury that is very difficult to heal. It requires comprehensive treatment and a rest regime until it is 100% healed," Fano told "Sport24".
"Swelling of the adductor muscles is common when treating torn hamstrings. However, this may indicate that the injured area has not yet fully healed. In these cases, football or hockey players can easily recover for up to three months, even with maximum treatment efforts."
