Mitrovica's female footballers have achieved another success on the European stage.
On Saturday morning in Budapest, Mitrovica defeated the renowned Hungarian team, Ferencvaros.
Mitrovica won 2:1 to qualify for the first qualifying round of the "Europa Cup", which is the second continental level for women's football clubs.
The match with Ferencvaros was for third place in the mini-group of the second qualifying round of the Champions League. The winner of the match secured the right to continue in Europe, namely in the “Europa Cup”, while the loser was eliminated.
Aurora Mulliqi scored both goals for the Mitrovica team. She scored for 1:1 in the 76th minute and for 2:1 in the 81st minute. The Hungarian team took the lead in the 68th minute.
In the semifinals of the second qualifying round, Mitrovica suffered a 5:0 defeat to Norwegian Brann on Wednesday in Budapest.

Meanwhile, the Kosovo champion scored two victories in the first qualifying round. They won 10:0 against the Moldovan champion, Zimbru Chisinau, and defeated the Bulgarian champion, Ludogorets, 2:0.
Now Mitrovica, led by Shpëtim Idrizi, will compete in the Europa Cup for the first time.
The draw will be made on August 11th.
