Kosovo striker Mërgim Berisha will be out for another four weeks. He is expected to return at the end of March, Augsburger Allgemeine reported on Tuesday.
According to the latest medical report, it was revealed that the tendon was also affected by the injury.
"I feel very sorry for the Exile and the team," Augsburg coach Jess Thorup was quoted as saying to the German newspaper.
Berisha was loaned from Hoffenheim in January. He has not played a single match since returning to Augsburg.
"We were convinced that the Exile could help quickly. Now the players we have available must take responsibility," said coach Thorup.
Part of Augsburg is also Kosovo midfielder Elvis Rexhbeçaj.
