Letter to the Reader — Why We're Asking for Your Support ContributeThe 25-year-old, who has three caps for Albania and has played for Albania's U16, U19 and U21 age groups, has scored nine goals in 31 appearances for Bristol City this season.
Mehmeti, who was born in London, was Bristol City's top scorer last season, scoring 12 goals. He was offered a new contract in October, with his previous one set to expire in the summer of this year.
"Everyone knows the ambition is promotion to the Premier League and I'm here to help the club achieve that," Mehmeti told Ipswich's official website after signing a contract until 2029.

Mehmeti is this team's first transfer in this winter transfer window.
Ipswich are third with 50 points, eight behind leaders Coventry. But Mehmet's new team has one game less to play.
Ipswich are on a run of four consecutive league wins under manager Kieran McKenna.
