The 23-year-old was seen with tears in his eyes after the serious injury he suffered.
Nikola Shtulić scored the winning goal for Lecce in the 72nd minute.
At Lecce, Albania's other midfielder, Ylber Ramadani, also played throughout the match.
Lecce after 15 matches has 16 points, while Pisa remains with only ten points.
Medon Berisha is seriously injured
Medon Berisha has suffered a serious injury in the duel that Lecce is playing against Pisa.
Berisha was taken out on a stretcher by medical staff. He suffered a muscle injury and requested to leave, Tuttomercatoweb wrote on Friday.
The 22-year-old midfielder was seen with tears in his eyes, while receiving applause from the entire stadium. Berisha had 13 appearances before this duel, and two goals scored and three assists. He is highly rated at the Italian club.
