According to Mundo Deportivo, Romero wants to leave Tottenham, but before making a decision on his future, he is waiting to see if Barcelona will make a concrete move for him.
Atletico Madrid is also in the running for the center back, having already begun negotiations with Tottenham.
The London club is reportedly asking around 40 million euros for Romero's card, while Atletico have so far offered around 30 million euros.
