Before the season started, Kastriot Imeri was one of the potential players for transfer to Union Berlin in the German football elite.
And now, Imer's transfer from Swiss side Young Boys is on the verge of being finalized.
There are only a few details left to finalize the move.
According to "Kicker", Imeri will sign a contract valid until June 2029, while the transfer will be completed for 2.5 million euros.
And finally, Union Berlin coach Mauro Lustrinelli will have his favorite midfielder in his team.
Lustrinelli has worked successfully with the Kosovar at Thun. The 26-year-old contributed six goals and eight assists, while Thun surprised everyone and achieved historic success - the Swiss championship title.

Imeri also made his debut under Lustrinelli at the Swiss U21 level. The two have been in constant contact since then, and are expected to reunite at the German elite club on Monday. Medical tests will be carried out on Monday and then everything will be made official, Kicker wrote.
Imeri performs better and feels more comfortable on the left wing, as he can run towards the center and finish the action with a powerful shot with his right.
He won't be able to help Union Berlin immediately. Imeri, who has a contract with the Bernese team until next summer, is out with a muscle injury. He is not expected to return to the field for another two weeks.
