The best scorer in the history of Uruguay, Luis Suarez will play in the Copa America for the fifth time.
The 37-year-old plays for Inter Miami in the USA, while he is among the 26 players selected by Marcelo Bielsa.
Suarez wrote that he is very happy and proud to have been selected.
Uruguay meets USA, Bolivia and Panama in Group C.
In 2011, Suarez won the Copa American and was named the best player. In 2016, he remained on the bench due to an injury. He then played in 2019 and 2021. He did not play in 2015 after being suspended for biting Giorgio Chiellini at the World Cup in Brazil in 2014.
