Llapi climbs to fifth position after third consecutive victory

Llapi started the winning streak against Gjilan. In the previous round, they also won against Feronikeli 74, while on Saturday they recorded their third consecutive victory. At the “Liman Gegaj” stadium, within the 30th round of the Kosovo football elite, Llapi won against Malisheva with the score 3:1.

And with the third consecutive victory, Llapi has made a big climb in the table, avoiding the zone that sends it to the First League, respectively the second category. While a short time ago it was fighting for survival in the elite, Llapi is now in fifth place with 39 points, one more than Prishtina and Gjilani who have one less match played each. Dukagjini in eighth place, respectively the tie, has 36 points. Behind are Suhareka with 33 points, and Feronikeli 74 with 14 points, which in the next edition will not be part of the Super League. Ahead of Llapi in the table is Ferizaj with 41 points and with one less match played, while Malisheva with 47 points takes third place.

Leading Drita has 63 points, ten more than second place, Balkan.

Llapi created the two-goal lead in the extra minutes of the first half.

Striker Ardit Tahiri scored the 1-0 goal in the fourth minute of added time of the first half, after a very well-constructed move. There was a suspicion of offside, but Tahiri's goal was accepted after a VAR review.

A minute later, Llapi scored again. Valmir Veliu doubled the lead with an assist from Elvir Gashijani.

Malisheva returned to the game with a goal by Laurent Xhylan. The winger scored with a precise header from the area in the 52nd minute, after Altin Aliu's cross from the corner. In Malisheva's best moments, Gashijani appeared on the scene and scored the goal of calm and victory 3:1, eight minutes before the end. Gashijani's goal was also confirmed by VAR. Tahiri was the assistant.

Llapi ended the match with one less player on the field after referee Dardan Çaka sent off midfielder Besar Musolli. Musolli came to the defense of his teammate, Gashijan, who was complaining of an injury. Malisheva striker Fatjon Bunjaku approached him and forcibly lifted him to his feet. Musolli's reaction to Bunjaku was immediate, which was considered harsh by the main referee.

There was no goal until the end and the victory went to the team led by coach Tahir Batatina.

Coach Batatina and Llapi will play the return leg of the Kosovo Cup away against Drenica on April 23. Llapi won the first leg in Podujeva 2:0.

On Sunday, the matches Suhareka – Drita and Prishtina – Ferizaj are scheduled. Gjilan – Dukagjini and Feronikeli 74 – Balkan are scheduled for Monday. The other matches also start at 15:00.


Llapi with one less player on the field

In the 88th minute, Llapi was left with one less player on the field. 

Besar Musolli was punished with a red card by referee Dardan Çaka.

He came to the defense of his teammate, Elvir Gashijani. Gashijani was complaining of an injury, while Malisheva striker, Fatjon Bunjaku, approached him and forcibly lifted him to his feet. Musolli's reaction to Bunjaku was immediate. His reaction led to his expulsion from the game.

Elvir Gashijani scored for 3:1 for Llapi in the duel against Malisheva.

Gashijani scored in the 82nd minute, initially disallowed for offside. But five minutes later, Gashijani's goal was upheld after a VAR review.

Malisheva returns to the game

Malisheva is back in the game against Llapi with Laurent Xhylan's goal.

The winger scored with a precise header from the area in the 52nd minute, after Altin Ali's header from a corner kick.

For Xhylan, it was the fifth goal of the season.


Llapi at halftime with a two-goal lead

Llapi scored two quick goals in the final minutes of the first half in the 30th round match against Malisheva.

The first half of the match, which is being played at the "Liman Gegaj" stadium in Malisheva, ended with a score of 2:0 in favor of Llapi.
