Brazilian goalkeeper Alisson Becker has been called up by Liverpool coach Arne Slott for Tuesday's Champions League match.
Liverpool will play as a guest against Girona from 18:45.
The 32-year-old Alisson has missed Liverpool's last 14 games due to injury.
The English giants, despite training on Monday afternoon, will be without Portuguese striker Diogo Jota, who is not yet ready for the match.
Jota will remain in Merseyside to continue the recovery process.
Even Jota, like Alisson, missed Liverpool's last 12 games due to a muscle injury.
In Liverpool, several footballers such as Federico Chiesa, Ibrahima Konate and Conor Bradley are also injured.
