The second leg of the Kosovo Cup semi-final in football, held on Wednesday in Ferizaj, between Ferizaj and Llapi, produced no goals or winners.
But Ferizaj secured passage to the Cup final after a 2:1 victory in Podujeva two weeks ago.
The match was tense on the pitch, and there were interruptions. The match was stopped in the 55th minute after objects were thrown onto the pitch.
There were objects thrown on the pitch by spectators in Ferizaj. Llapi defender Ilir Blakçori was hit by the spectators' throws.
The match resumed only after all spectators had left the stands. However, around a thousand spectators watched the match outside the stadium in the city of Ferizaj.
There were also strong duels between players from both teams.
Ferizaj was led by Arsim Abazi, who returned after Nevil Dede was fired for lack of results.
This is the third final for Ferizaj. They had lost in the finals in two consecutive editions. They lost to Trepça '89 in the 2011/2012 edition, and in 2012/2013 to Prishtina.
Llapi has won the Kosovo Cup twice, in the 2020/2021 and 2021/2022 editions.
Ferizaj and Llapi are also in a direct battle for the Super League relegation spot. They have 33 points each in eighth and ninth place. Eighth place sends them to the playoffs, while ninth takes them to the second division.
Dukagjini eliminates Balkan, secures fourth Cup final
Dukagjini from Klina has reached the fourth final of the Kosovo Cup after eliminating Balkan from Suhareka in the semifinals.
Dukagjini won 3:2 on Wednesday at the "18 Qershori" stadium in Klina, and eliminated Balkan with an overall score of 6:2.
Dukagjini won the first match at the city stadium in Suhareka 3:0.
The match held in Klina yielded many goals and open play.
The hosts took the lead first with captain Elton Basriu, who scored in the 23rd minute. A minute before Dukagjini's goal, Balkan's Almir Kryeziu's goal was disallowed for offside.
Balkan's problems became more difficult after the expulsion of Albert Diene. The midfielder of Suharekë was sent off with a straight red card by referee Lirim Jashari. The main referee of the match did not find a foul on Diene on Erlis Xhemajli's leg after reviewing the situation in VAR. He removed the yellow card and sent him off with a straight red card.
Despite being one player less on the field, Balkan equalized in the 36th minute through striker Bleart Tolaj.
Tolaj scored another goal in the 50th minute for 2:1 in favor of Balkan.
But the locals, led by coach Arsim Thaqi, did not give up and scored with Mërgim Pefqeli in the 64th minute for 2:2.
Dukagjini scored another goal for the victory. Dienit Isufi passed a player from the left wing and shot powerfully, four minutes before the end for 3:2.
Engjëll Ajazaj scored for Balkan in the 87th minute. However, his goal was also disallowed as he was offside during the build-up. This was confirmed by VAR.
Dukagjini has lost the past three finals. They were defeated by Prishtina in the 1994/95 edition, while they lost to Flamurtari in the 1995/96 edition.
The last final was against Llapi in the 2020/21 edition. But they were defeated in that match as well.
Meanwhile, Balkan has lost one final in the Kosovo Cup and won one trophy. It was defeated by Prishtina in the final of the 2019/20 edition, while it triumphed against the "white and blue" in the 2023/24 edition.

Dukagjini has overturned the score against Balkan and is winning 3:2.
Dienit Isufi was the scorer of the super goal scored in the 86th minute.
The match that was interrupted in the 55th minute resumes.

Midfielder Mërgim Pefqeli scored the second goal for Dukagjini, which tied the score at 2:2 against Balkan.
Pefqeli scored from close range with a header for 2:2, in the 64th minute. Defender Albion Pllana made a nice pass into the area for him.

The Balkans have taken the lead over Dukagjin of Klina.
Blerat Tolaj scored the goal for the 2:1 lead in the 50th minute.

The first half of the other semi-final match of the Kosovo Cup in football between Ferizaj and Llapi ended 0:0.
Ferizaj won the first match at "Zahir Pajaziti" in Podujeva 2:1.
There were chances in the first 45 minutes of the match from both teams, but no goals.

Balkans with one less footballer on the field
Balkan was left with one less player on the field in the match against Dukagjini. Midfielder Albert Diene was sent off by referee Lirim Jashari after reviewing the situation with VAR.
Because Diene had fouled the midfielder, referee Jashari initially gave him a yellow card. He then reviewed the situation once again with VAR. He overturned the yellow card and showed him a straight red card, sending him off in the 28th minute.
Balkan is almost eliminated from the Cup. Dukagjini is leading 1:0 in the return match in Klina, while winning 3:0 in Suhareka. It is close to advancing to the Cup final.
Dukagjini gets even closer to the finals
Dukagjini i Klina has scored a goal against Balkan and has moved even closer to the final of the Kosovo Cup in football.
The team from Klinë punished the team from Suhareka in the 23rd minute, in the second leg of the Kosovo Cup semi-final. Elton Basriu, the captain of the Dukagjini team, scored for 1:0. He scored from close range.
Dukagjini won the first match in Suhareka 3:0.
With this goal, the overall score is 4:0.
A minute before Basriu's goal was scored, Balkan's goal was disallowed for offside. Almir Kryeziu's goal was disallowed after a VAR review.
