Kristjan Asllani: The sin that we didn't get a point

"We started very badly, you can't take home two goals in ten minutes. We hoped that the match would not go like this. We played a very bad game in the first half. In the second half, the game changed. We wanted three points tonight, or at least one point to avoid being last. But football is like that. We had a lot of problems in the first half. Ukrainians were always free, we always ran empty. In the second half we played one against one and they were afraid. The sins of not getting a point", said Asllani.

Uzuni: Granada asked me not to play, but I decided to be active to prove that I deserve it

"We started the match very badly. Today we had to win and we are all upset about the loss. I am a striker and I always want to score.  In Granada, I shoot penalties. I wanted to shoot the penalty and get unblocked. I'm not sure why Bajrami took the penalty, I think it was the coach's decision. Today I proved that I can play in attack. The Granada team has asked me not to be active, as I risk an injury that will keep me out for two or three months. But I decided to play to prove that I deserve to play", Uzuni declared.

Arbër Hoxha: We tried everything, but it didn't work

"The coach motivated us a lot to give 100 percent in the second half. In the first half we conceded two goals and morale was a little low. In the second half we scored from the penalty, we tried everything, but we couldn't score. Every time I enter the match, I will give my 100 percent for the National Team. We present a nation here", said Hoxha after the match.

A good second half was not enough for Albania in the match against Ukraine.

On Tuesday night at "Air Albania", the red and black were defeated 2:1 in the last match of the fourth edition of the League of Nations.

The defeat caused Albania to fall to League C for the next edition of the League of Nations. Albania needed the win to hope for first place in the group. But victory was far from over and the loss meant that the Reds and Blacks remained last in Group B1 of the League of Nations.

Albania has seven points, the same as Georgia. Since the balance in the mutual matches is equal, the ranking was decided by the overall score, where Georgia is better.

Albania started the match very badly, even though it was playing in front of its fans. In the fifth minute, Oleksandr Zinchenko scored for Ukraine's 1:0 lead.

The Ukrainians took advantage of a wrong position in Albania's defense and scored the goal  early.  It wasn't long before Thomas Strakosha scored the second goal. Again a bad defense cost  expensive in the tenth minute, when Roman Yaremchuk scored for 2:0.

Albania did nothing in the first half. In the 45th minute, Ernest Muçi made a dangerous shot and that was it.

The second half was quite different. Nedim Bajrami replaced Jasir Asani, while Myrto Uzuni replaced Mirlind Daku. In the 51st minute, Ernest Muçi left the field due to injury and Arbër Hoxha came in his place.

The changes were shot.

Uzuni secured a penalty, which Nedim Bajrami converted into a goal in the 75th minute.

Albania continued with attacks and had several more scoring opportunities. But without sending the ball into the flow. And so victory went to Ukraine, who finish second in the group with eight points. The Czech Republic won the group with 11 points.  that advances to  League A for the next edition of the League of Nations.

Albania is back in the game in the match against Ukraine.

Nedim Bajrami narrowed the score to 2:1, with a shot from the penalty spot in the 75th minute. Myrto Uzuni provided the penalty.

Very weak game of the Reds and Blacks, Ukraine leads 2:0 after the first half

Albania had a very poor performance in the first half of the match against Ukraine. The Reds have never threatened the opponent's goal, until the 45th minute, when Ernest Muçi tried. Meanwhile, Albania conceded two goals.

Oleksandr Zinchenko scored in the fifth minute, while immediately in the tenth minute Roman Yaremchuk scored for 2:0.

Albania also conceded the second goal in the match against Ukraine.

Roman Yaremchuk scored in the 10th minute, taking advantage of another mistake in the red and black defense.

Albania is shocked

Ukraine has taken an early lead over Albania.

Oleksandr Zinchenko scored in the fifth minute for 1:0.

He unveiled the jersey with the number 1000, to mark the 1000 days since the Russian invasion of Ukraine began.

The Albania-Ukraine match starts with a minute of silence

The match between Albania and Ukraine started with a minute of silence in honor of 14-year-old Martin Cani, who was killed on Monday in Tirana.

Daku leads Albania's attack

The selector of Albania, Sylvinho, has published the formation for the match against Ukraine. Instead of Indri Tuci, Mirlind Daku is activated from the first minute, while Jasir Asani also plays.

Ernest Muçi is also in the attack from the first minute.

The midfield has no changes from last time. Kristjan Asllani, Ylber Ramadani and Qazim Laçi play.

Also, the defensive repertoire remains the same. Ivan Balliu plays on the right, Mario Mitaj on the left, while Ardian Ismajli and Arlind Ajeti are in the center.

The Albania - Ukraine match takes place from 20:45 at the "Air Albania" stadium in Tirana and belongs to Group B1 of the UEFA Nations League.

The Czech Republic is first with eight points, while Georgia and Albania have one point less. Ukraine is fourth with five points.

The winner of Group B1 will appear in League A of the League of Nations next edition.

In the next match of the Group, the Czech Republic and Georgia face each other. This match also starts at 20:45.
