Sylvinho: The opponent was more motivated
Albania's selector, Sylvinho, said that the Czech Republic was more motivated in Friday's match.
Albania lost 2:0 as a guest in a match where they showed a little of what they showed last year.
"You don't feel good about losing, but we don't lose by many goals anymore. We haven't lost our enthusiasm, but the opponent was much more motivated. He waited 13 months for this match. We must definitely improve, we must give 100 percent in every game. Now Albania is studied, analyzed. The Czechs have analyzed us for a year. Now we start thinking about Georgia. Another difficult journey awaits us. We had a few chances tonight, but I think the Czechs were very motivated. It is an element of pride. Now Albania is seen as a team that can beat others", he said after the meeting.
Mirlind Daku: We knew that a hot environment awaits us
"We knew that a very hot environment awaits us, considering that we beat them 3:0. We knew that a hot environment awaits us. We had chances tonight as well. We had two good chances, if we were more we would get a point. We hope to be more open and take advantage of the opportunities. We don't have much chance to get to know each other "I can't play a lot with these players and it's not the same as in the team. I hope the goals will come," said Daku.
Elseid Hysaj: We were below our level
"The only match that we performed badly. In the other matches, we performed well, both against Ukraine and Georgia. Today was a match below our level. We have reached a high level and now everyone takes us seriously. We are a good team and everyone knows that we play to win the game. The Czechs from the beginning showed a lot of aggression towards us. We must be calm on the field. We have to play calmly. If we would have scored for 1:1, we could have won the match", said Hysaj.
Qazim Laçi: The early conceding of the goal ruined the plans
"The quick 1:0 start ruined the game we had in mind. We know that the Czech Republic plays with long balls and tries to score quickly. We tried, but it didn't turn out the way we planned. In the first half, we had several chances, but we didn't make them concrete. After we conceded the second goal, the game was over."
Albania shows little in Prague, defeated 2:0 by the Czech Republic
Albania has not shown even close to the form it had in the last two matches with the Czech Republic. And the Reds and Blacks left the "Letna" stadium in Prague with their heads down.
On Friday night, Albania lost 2:0 to the Czech Republic in the third round of the Nations League group stage. For Sylvinho's team, it is the second loss in a row. On September 10, they were defeated 1:0 in Tirana by Georgia.
Albania had trouble against Georgia but suffered even more with the Czechs.
In the third minute, Tomash Chory made it 1:0. The same player in the 63rd minute broke away in the area and scored a beautiful goal for 2:0.
Albania tried to react but without success. Jasir Asani, Kristjan Asllani and Indri Tuci had half chances, but without concretizing them.
The hit didn't just come from the field. Czech fans have displayed the Serbian flag over the map of Kosovo and inscriptions "Kosovo is Serbia". That was not all. There were also Albanian flags turned upside down and also marked with an X.
Albania will look for the opportunity to react against Georgia on Monday night in Tbilisi.
Albania is now third in group B1 with three points, as is Ukraine in fourth place. Georgia and the Czech Republic have six points each.
Chory scores again, the Czech Republic doubles the lead
The Czech Republic has doubled the result against Albania.
In the 63rd minute, Tomas Chory scored again. This time the tall striker scored with a header.
After the second goal conceded, Sylvinho made two changes. He removed Daku and Asani and framed Tuci and Hoxha respectively.
