Balkan has been stopped in the second qualifying round of the Conference League.
Balkan was eliminated on penalties by the Irish team, Bohemians. At “Fadil Vokrri”, on Thursday night, Bohemians won 5:4 in a penalty shootout.
Experienced defender Bajram Jashanica hit the post with the first shot. Then all the players scored and thus the victory was 5:4 for the guests from Ireland.
In regular time, Balkan won 3:2. After Bohemians had won 2:1 at home and the aggregate score was 4:4, the match went into overtime. But the overtime did not yield anything for the Suharekë team, who ultimately lost on penalties.
Valentin Serebe in the 10th minute, Giovanni in the 50th minute and Toni Domgjoni in the 58th minute scored for Balkan. Douglas James-Taylor in the 20th minute and Patrick Hickey in the 88th minute scored for Bohemians. This team had scored the winning goal in the 90th minute in the first match. They scored again late to ensure extra time and penalties.
