As expected, Leon Avdullahu has signed a new multi-year contract with German Bundesliga club Hoffenheim.
Avdullahu transferred to Hoffenheim last summer from Basel and has excelled throughout the Bundesliga season.
The German club has decided to extend the contract with Avdullah, which will of course have greater financial income. A few days ago, Albion Hajdari, the center back, also extended his contract with Hoffenheim.
Avdullahu and Hajdari are also very important in Kosovo, as is Fisnik Asllani. Striker Asllani is likely to leave Hoffenheim in the summer.

"Leon is the best example of how a young player can develop at Hoffenheim. I am very happy that he wants to continue this successful path with us and that the club is keeping one of its key figures," said Andreas Schicker, Hoffenheim's sporting director.
"Leon can read the game, he is a strategist and his vision is extremely important for our style of play," added Schicker.
Avdullahu also expressed his happiness about the contract extension. He has played 31 games for Hoffenheim this season. He was also very important at Basel, and immediately proved that he is worthy of the Bundesliga.
"When I came here in the summer, I said that I was extremely proud to be part of this team. That is still true today. Everything that was discussed when the transfer was being made came true. I want to continue to be an important part of this development and contribute to the success of the team and the club," said Avdullahu, who is now also the leader of the Kosovo midfield.
