Kosovo U21 loses the first friendly

The Kosovo U21 national football team has lost its first friendly match of this month. 

The players led by coach Hekuran Kryeziu were defeated 1:0 by Turkey in the match played in Istanbul. 

Centerback Salih Malkoçglu, who plays for Trabzonspor, scored the only goal in the match. 

He scored after a precise header and beat Pristina goalkeeper, Altin Gjokaj, in the 82nd minute. 

Kosovo U21 will play their next friendly match on Saturday against Luxembourg. 

That match will be played at 17:00 at the FFK National Champion in Hajvali.

After the friendlies, Kosovo U21 turns its attention to the qualifying matches for the European Championship. On September 24, Kosovo U21 plays away to San Marino, while on September 30, it hosts Cyprus in Pristina. 

Kosovo plays its last qualifying match on October 6 at "Fadil Vokrri" against Finland. 

Kosovo U21 is fourth in qualifying Group A with eight points. Spain is the leader with 21 points, while Finland has 16 points in second position.
