Meriton Korenica has closed the year 2024 in the best way. But for the next year it has even bigger goals with the Romanian team, Cluj. He hopes to help the team win trophies.
"Cluji always claims trophies. The title and the Cup are always the competitions that Cluj aims to win. It is a big club in Romania and it demands the maximum in every game. We always enter the field to win", said Korenica on Sunday night for KOĖN.
Earlier on Sunday, he scored a goal and assisted in Cluj's 3:2 win over Othello. The match took place in the 21st round of the Romanian Super League in football. It was the last round for this year, just like in many other European leagues.
Korenica is satisfied with his form, especially in the last matches.
"The form continues to be good both personally and as a team. The maximum dedication to work, I believe, made the form come. Giving my best in every match has helped me get back in good shape", said Korenica.

The 28-year-old has scored three goals and has the same number of assists this season.
He scored two goals in the Conference League qualifiers and one goal in the Romanian Cup matches.
The player from Rahoveci hopes to continue with good form in the spring season as well.
"I hope that this good form will continue even more in the next season", he emphasized.
Korenica joined Cluj in the summer from Turkish side Manisaspor. He previously played for Balkan, Pristina, Liri, Rahovec, Shkëndija of Tetova and Metalurg of Skopje.
He also has five matches from 2023 with Kosovo. He hopes to be included in the "Dardani" team during 2025.
"I hope to be invited to Kosovo again, but it is the coach who makes the choices. I will always be ready for my country", said Korenica.

Korenca close to leaving Cluj
The Romanian championship continues in January. On January 19, Cluj plays on the road in the match of week 22.
Several Albanian footballers are also appearing in Romania with great success. Earlier, Albion Rrahmani and Ermal Krasniqi also appeared in Romania with great success. Both players from the Romanian championship moved to the Czech Republic during the summer, respectively to the Sparta Prague team.
