Wolfsburg has won the German Women's Cup regularly since 2015. But that streak ends this season.
Wolfsburg were knocked out of the Cup quarterfinals on Wednesday. They lost 1:0 to Hoffenheim. The goal that caused Wolfsburg's first defeat in almost 11 years in the Cup competition was scored by Kosovo captain Erëleta Memeti.
She scored in the 52nd minute.
Thanks to Memet's goal, Hoffenheim qualified for the Cup semi-finals and ended Wolfsburg's great dominance.
