After completing the warm-up, Kosovo captain Amir Rrahmani continued his second training session separately from the group on the eve of the Nations League playoff match against Iceland.
The experienced defender, during the warm-up in Tuesday's training session, ran at a slower pace than the other players.
After the joint warm-up ended, Rrahmani began work separately from the other players due to the injury he suffered on Sunday, the day before Kosovo's training camp for the playoff matches for League B of the Nations League.
The Dardans will play their first match on Thursday at 20:45 PM at the Fadil Vokrri Stadium in Pristina. On Sunday, Kosovo will play the return match against Iceland in Murcia, Spain.
For the first match against the Icelanders, Rrahmani is doubtful due to a muscle injury.
Kosovo coach Franco Foda also spoke about Rrahman's injury at a press conference on Monday. He said that the eventual absence of the captain would be a big blow for the "Dardans".
Due to the level at which Rrahmani performs, he is convincing in front of other center backs playing for Kosovo. He has 62 matches for the national team, while he has scored seven goals.
Rrahmani was forced to be substituted in the 77th minute of Napoli's 0-0 draw against Venezia on Sunday, as part of the 29th week of Serie A.
In the press conference held on Monday, it was announced that due to injuries, full-back Florent Hadërgjonaj and promising striker Fisnik Asllani will not join Kosovo in the squad. Earlier, the absence of Edon Zhegrova was also confirmed.
The Kosovo national team will play a friendly against Armenia in Pristina on June 6. Kosovo's 2026 World Cup qualifiers begin in September.
The first match is on September 5th against Switzerland on the road.
