Portugal coach Jorge Jesus has explained why he left Cristiano Ronaldo out of the squad for the match against Norway.
Portugal defeated Norway 2-1 in Oslo on Sunday in the second match of Group A4 of the Nations League.
In Portugal's victory, there were no minutes for Al-Nassri star Ronaldo.
Jesus revealed that he had planned to include Ronaldo in the second half.
"Ronaldo didn't come on. I was thinking of bringing him on, maybe for about half an hour, but the match required other choices. I thought it wasn't the right moment to bring him on. I had agreed with Ronaldo to play the last 30 minutes and I had told him I would bring him on, but the course of the match didn't make it necessary. Gonçalo Ramos was playing very well, he scored a goal and another was disallowed," said 72-year-old Jesus.

The 41-year-old Ronaldo played 67 minutes in the first match against Wales.
Portugal leads the group with six points.
