FIFA President Gianni Infantino is trying to persuade countries to issue statements of support as pressure grows on him to resign, The Times reported on Wednesday.
"The Times" wrote that in exchange for written support, FIFA president Infantino offered Morocco the 2030 World Cup final.
Infantino is at the center of criticism. The plan to sell World Cup shares to private investors failed.
UEFA and CONCACAF (North, Central America and the Caribbean) quickly spoke out strongly against Infantino. The Asian Football Confederation also quickly joined the opposition.
On Wednesday, Infantino held talks about the crisis with top officials of the Moroccan Football Federation, which along with Spain and Portugal will be the organizers of the 2030 World Cup.

The Times' Martyn Ziegler, who broke the news about Infantino's investment plan, writes that Infantino is not yet considering resigning and is doing everything he can to keep his job.
Therefore, Infantino, as The Times writes, has offered Morocco the hosting of the 2030 World Cup final at the new Hassan II stadium in Casablanca in exchange for support. Meanwhile, Spain believes that the World Cup final should be played in Madrid.

"It is false and misleading to claim that the FIFA president has made any promises regarding the hosting of the 2030 FIFA World Cup finals. FIFA will make a decision in due course," a spokesperson told the newspaper.
FIFA will announce the new president on May 18 in Rabat, Morocco.
