Letter to the Reader — Why We're Asking for Your Support ContributeBut Hoffenheim sporting director Andreas Schicker wants to offer Avdullah and Hajdar long-term contracts with higher salaries.
"This is unusual, as both joined Hoffenheim before the start of this season. On the one hand, this can be seen as a reward for their good performances so far. In addition to the extension of the contracts until 2030, a significant increase in salaries is also expected for both players. On the other hand, with the extension of the contracts, Hoffenheim is showing that it is interested in keeping the core of the team for the next season," writes "Kicker".
The value of Avdullah and Hajdar has increased considerably after good performances with Hoffenheim and Kosovo.
Avdullahu, with his strong technical and tactical play, has been a strong point of the midfield of the team led by Christian Ilzer.
"It is no surprise that the biggest and most influential clubs are starting to show interest in the strategist Avdullahu, who was transferred from Basel for eight million euros, while he is currently valued at 25 million euros. The extension of the contract would effectively rule out the next move in the 22-year-old's career, at least this summer. This also applies to Hajdari. The good left-footed defender has played a key role and has significantly stabilized Hoffenheim's defense. The 22-year-old, transferred from Lugano for five million euros, is valued at around 20 million euros," the "Kicker" article further writes.
Avdullahu has one assist in 29 matches this season in the Bundesliga, while Hajdari has one goal and one assist in 26 matches.
Hoffenheim also has striker Fisnik Asllani. But Asllani is expected to leave in the summer. Interest in the Kosovar striker is high. Bayern and Barcelona are among the clubs interested, according to reports in major European media.
Hoffenheim has had a successful campaign in the Bundesliga and has almost secured a place in Europe.
