Hajduk Split won the first round of the Conference League in a very tense match against Ajax on Thursday night.
Hajduk won 2:1 at Poljud. It was Hajduk's first win in Europe in 16 years. Bamba and Marin Shotiček scored for the Croatians, while Davy Klaassen was the only scorer for Ajax.
Ron Raçi of Kosovo was on the bench. Adrion Pajaziti is also on the team but was not present on Thursday night. Hajduk's "Torcida" fans caused the match to be interrupted for 12 minutes, after throwing fireworks and explosive devices. Heavy penalties are expected for the Croatian club from UEFA.
