Croatian defender, Joško Guardiola, will extend his contract with Manchester City.
English media reported on Sunday that Guardiola's new contract will keep him at City until the summer of 2032.
The officialization of the continuation of the cooperation is expected to take place before the start of the 2026/27 edition.
Real Madrid have expressed interest in Guardiola for months.
But the 24-year-old has decided to reject Real's offers to stay even longer at the English giant.
Guardiola's current contract with City expires in 2028.
With the new contract, Guardiola will also have a salary increase.
Guardiola is seen as a key player in the project of new City coach Enzo Maresca.
