Gjilan, Malisheva and Vushtrri have advanced to the quarterfinals of the Kosovo Cup in football. The next three matches of the 1/8 finals of the Kosovo Cup in football took place on Thursday.
Gjilan eliminated Liria led for the first time by coach Ismet Munishi. Gjilan defeated Liria of Prizren 2:1 at home, while Malisheva won the match against Trepça '89 4:0.
Vushtrri also won its home match. It defeated Vëllazni 2:0.
Armend Thaqi scored the first goal for Gjilan from a penalty kick in the third minute of extra time of the first half.
Hamdi Namani scored for 2:0. For midfielder Namani, it was his debut with the Gjilan shirt. He scored with a header in the 65th minute after a pass from captain Thaqi.
Dijar Nikqi scored the only goal for Lirina in the 85th minute. The Prizren team also had two goals disallowed due to offside.
Meanwhile, Malisheva secured passage to the quarterfinals after a comprehensive 4:0 victory over Trepça '89.
Assane Diatta shone in Malisheva's victory. He scored two goals and contributed with an assist.
He opened the scoring in the 31st minute. Four minutes later, Arbër Pira also scored.
Diatta scored the goal in the 75th minute for 3:0, and assisted for the fourth goal scored by Valmir Nafiu in the 88th minute.
Vushtrri also qualified for the quarterfinals. The team from Vushtrri defeated Vëllaznimi Gjakova with a score of 2:0.
The first goal for Vushtrri was scored by Erion Krasniqi in the 33rd minute, while Lis Demiri made it 2:0 in the 78th minute.
Llapi, Ferizaj, Dukagjini and Balkan have also advanced to the quarterfinals.
