A 1500 euro car, an inseparable group in the locker room and in a city that lives for football.
This is how the Serbian media outlet "Blic" begins its article about the Albanian footballer from Novi Pazar, 29-year-old Driton Camaj.
Camaj gave a long interview and talked about his childhood days and his career, which he considers successful. Camaj said that modesty, hard work and the atmosphere in the team are the three things that have made this edition of Novi Pazar very positive.
"I don't need an expensive car in Pazar, I told my parents that I want to keep my car. I told them to bring me the 'Polo', it will serve me well in Novi Pazar. We went to training and everything was fine. After training I received 20 messages and I said to myself what is going on. I opened my phone and saw 'the beast in the car that costs 1500 euros'", Camaj declared.
Novi Pazar is a club from a city near the border with Kosovo, where the majority of the inhabitants are Bosniaks. But they are shining this season in the Serbian elite championship. They are currently fourth with 45 points and have won four games. Camaj has contributed five goals and one assist in six appearances in the Serbian championship so far.
"Four wins in a row, three of them without conceding a goal. Truly an extraordinary job from all the boys. I would like to congratulate the players first because they are doing an excellent job, and then the coaching staff because without them it would not have been possible," said Camaj.
Novi Pazari plays its next match against Çukariçki, while Camaj aims for another victory with the great help of the fans.

Camaj transferred to Novi Pazar on January 19, with a contract valid until the summer. He is from Malësia and has 28 appearances and two goals for Montenegro.
He has played for Budućnosti Podgorica, Inter Zaprešić of Croatia, Dečić of Tuzi, Lovčen of Cetina and Iskra Danilovgrad. For five years he played for Kisvarda in Hungary, while also playing for Kecskemet. Most recently he was with Astana in Kazakhstan. He now wears the number 10 shirt and plays as a winger. Camaj has also been asked if he could one day play for Partizan Belgrade. He has left such a move open.
"I see Partizan in difficulty and Partizan is a big club with many fans. I also have many friends there with whom I play for the Montenegrin national team, I have private friendships with some of them, with Milici for example. So I don't know their plans and mine, but I'm not ruling anything out," Camaj said.
